Forget the “Plus”—Apple is reportedly introducing the iPhone 17 Air, an ultra-thin model designed to be the slimmest iPhone yet. The Pro models are also getting a fresh look with a rumored horizontal camera bar across the back and a new A19 Pro chip.
Camera & Performance: Serious Upgrades
All four models are said to feature a massive upgrade to the front-facing camera, jumping from 12MP to 24MP. The Pro models could also get a 48MP telephoto lens, making all rear cameras 48MP for the first time. This, along with a powerful A19 Pro chip and a potential jump to 12GB of RAM, could make on-device AI features faster and more efficient than ever.
Price Hikes & Global Launch
Due to rising production costs and trade issues, prices are expected to climb. While a specific date hasn’t been confirmed, the launch is likely to be in early September, continuing Apple’s tradition.
